Send quality time with the ones you love - Connor

 Hello gang,

I will start with work, I went on a site visit with my coworker and boss two weeks ago. I am designing Alico Road and my coworker is design Corkscrew Road. The two roads are perpendicular. The three of us went out and looked at the progress of the construction of the roads. Pictured is a catch basin that is set, but the swale is not graded yet.

The last few days I have been working on a reverse osmosis plant. Engineering, water management, and utilities are just a few of the departments in house that have their fingers in the project. The base is going to be updated at some point by one of the departments and I am going to have shift vegetations based on the changes. The design is code minimum, because it is a county project. So I am putting 33 shrubs per 100 linear feet. The codes calls for 1 canopy tree every 30 linear feet, but we have OHE, overhead electrical. So, we are going to put 2 accent trees every 30 linear feet. My coworker had to set up the sheet manager, and xref the bases in, because he does not want to show me how to do these things.

My coworker is hot and cold. We had an incident happen two Fridays ago. Nothing too bad, but that was the second Friday in a row I cried when I got back to my apartment. I did not say anything to anyone, but someone on the other side of the cubical questioned me after the incident. This last Friday I left smiling. So it really is day by day.

I went to my first hockey game on Friday. Someone in the permitting department had extra tickets, and she gave them to people. My coworker, myself, and a someone from utilities went. After, the game my coworker wanted to get drinks and go eat, it was after 10! I went, but I am on to him being extra nice to me, all of a sudden.

Onto the positive/exciting parts. My family, sister, and parents, came to visit me for Easter. I took them to a nice restaurant/grocery store/bar in Naples. It was a Friday in Lent, so no meat. On Saturday, we all went to Miami. My sister had a whole list of places she wanted visit. We went to Joe's Stone Crab and got the corner table looking at both streets, through the windows. We had to get stone crabs, they were really good. After Joe's we walked a block to the harbor to see boats, and the water. After that my mom and sister wanted to go Glossier, a makeup company, maybe the women in the class know the hype around the company. On Sunday we went to Mass, and back to Naples. We got Easter brunch on the water. I was just happy to be with them. It was bitter sweet seeing them leave on Monday morning, but I had a high school friend and his fiancé visit in the afternoon for the week, Monday through Friday.

My high school friend and his fiancé drove into Fort Myers on Monday. So, I was able to meet them right after work on Monday. We went to various restaurants, and were able to catch up. I took off on Thursday to hangout with them. We went to Siesta Key Beach. I brought them to the restaurant/grocery store/bar in Naples Wednesday night. The thing I really enjoy about the place is that you can buy a steak from the butcher shop and bring it to a desk and the place will cook the steak for you. The food is really good.

This weekend was the first time that I was by myself again.
