Week 8 at Copley Wolff

 Hey Blog!

Hope everyone is doing good! These past two weeks have been so busy!! We had our parks commission meeting for the parks I've been working on and it went really well, thankfully. We've had a few follow-up meetings with individual task forces for the different neighborhoods the parks are located in and they all had very positive feedback and minor adjustments they'd like to see that we're going to try to implement. The main thing hold us back from implementing those things is the very limited budget we were given and these residents have very high standards of what they're wanting so trying to explain the cost of doing all these things and compromising on what they can have now versus in different phases has been a challenge. I got to meet the mayor at the parks commission meeting and found out that the person that was going to be performing in the auditorium after us was Pitbull which is hilarious considering we all thought this was a teeny tiny little town in MA, but apparently Pitbull performs there regularly. So that project is going as smoothly as it can and I've learned so so much about working with the public and getting their input on things.

The inn that I've been working on is getting pushed extra hard right now since they want it to be BUILT by end of June. I've put together my first complete sheet set for schematic design - complete with a full rendered plan, layout, grading, etc. (essentially what we did for Kathy) in about a week and a half which is wild, so that's going out to the client end of this week once we get finalized spec information on some materials. Loving every second of this project though! I've got so many cad tricks up my sleeve now :)

I don't know how much I've mentioned it on here buttttt I've been working on our website and office rebranding so stay tuned for a sneak peak of the websites soft launch at the end of the month!!!

The weather here is starting to get better finally. Still very very cold but the bulbs are popping up in the greenway and the park across the street which makes me so hopeful that spring is actually soon but also so sad because it's far too early for them to be coming up. Some of the other shrubs are also getting some green on them again and the trees are starting to get bigger buds on them and I know that it's all going to be so pretty once it's actually all green again - or at least mostly. Since it's warmer I've talked myself into exploring the city and it's surrounding areas more and there's just sooooo much to see and do.

It was also margarita madness in the office this past friday and my team won trivia!! so I won at plant :)

Hope everyone had a fun st. pattys day :)
