#4 - Too much snow

Hi friends

Since the last update, my family came to visit. They came the week of Mardi Gras and brought a king cake to my office to celebrate (I'm not sure how they got it on the plane). I took off a few days to ski with them and show them around.

I did not think I would get tired of the snow, but I was wrong. I've been seeing pictures of the azaleas blooming back home, and I'm jealous. According to some locals, this is the snowiest winter in over 40 years. I have found, however, shoveling snow can be a meditative task. It builds character.

Work was interesting last week. Tuesday and Wednesday, we all worked from home because of a blizzard. Working from home got boring fast. I mostly did sketchup and lumion revisions for a hospital parking lot plus some sections of the ski resort base area. One of the sections has 100ft of grade change, and I'm still trying to wrap my head around that. Who would have thought a parking garage could also function as a massive retaining wall?

Not much else to report. Just waiting for warmer weather and listening to Here Comes the Sun on repeat in the meantime.
