Round Two
Hi everyone! I love reading all of your blog posts and seeing what everyone is up to and working on!
Work at PBD has picked up since I last posted, with lots of different projects moving into and out of our office. Our zoological design studio applied for a project in San Francisco I think, and I've been told the odds are in our favor to win the project. Most of my focus has been back and forth between the Progresso Port in Yucatan, Mexico and a island resort project in the Bahamas (I still don't know the name of it.) My eyes have only known CAD lately, as most of what my tasks are are attempting to create CAD linework/layers out of what the principals designed, realize I don't understand it, and having to go ask them what it is I'm supposed to do. It's a long and arduous process for someone who doesn't even like waterparks all that much.
Today, Disney allowed a special contractor/consultant viewing of the new TRON coaster in Magic Kingdom. With the attraction opening in April, we were some of the first to experience the attraction. I hadn't seen the site since the summer, so stepping foot back in with all the plant materials installed and hardscape finished was really cool. After riding a few times, we rode the monorail to Disney's Polynesian Resort to check on another project of ours, the grand entrance to the main resort lobby. Our This project was technically finished a few months ago, but the visit was mostly to make sure the planting was beginning to flourish and grow.
I can't wait to hear more from you guys! Good luck and keep up the sick posts!
