Exploring Florida

Rose sighting

I have been visiting a good portion of South Florida. Two weekends ago, I met my parents in Gainesville to exchange cars. We went to Ginnie Springs, which has spring/caves that you can dive into. My dad and I got into the water, but we did not do any diving.
Work has been going good. I am doing a lot of CAD work, hopefully work becomes less CAD work, but it is just me and my coworker that do all the CAD work for the LA department. We have a community meeting for main street in Immokalee. The project is .6 miles long, but we are redoing the sidewalk for both sides. The site is quite challenging, because the building come right up to the sidewalk, and including set backs, site lines, and the visible window; we are having to bounce a lot of ideas on what we can do with the project. We are proposing for the sidewalks to be repainted.
On Wednesday, I went with the land planning department to a community meeting in LaBelle. A developer is proposing 40,000 square feet of commercial and three apartments complexes. The community was strongly against this, but the land planning department handled it well.

Miami mall crosswalk

Last weekend I went to Miami. I was trying to go to the beach, but a storm was just leaving. This caused the beach to mostly vacant, because the waves were massive. So, I went to the Design District mall. The mall was outside and had a lot of art. After that mall I went to a different mall.

    1. Ik, the water in south Florida does not even compare to the water in Alabama or the panhandle of Florida.
